The unit is 6 berth, with lounge at rear converting to a queen bed, 4 seater diner area midway also converting to a double, ( 4 seatbelts and 2 baby seat anchors) and a permanent bed / storage area over the cab. We have used the rear lounge as a permanent bed, and it comes with a new queen mattress. There is a separate cassete toilet with 12V flush, and a shower supplied with gas hot water. A Waeco 150L compressor type frig runs very efficiently off batteries, with less load than 3 way types. On long trips we have also used a 40L Engel frig/freezer, with tie downs installed. We have replaced the original 2X deep cycle batteries with 120ah "Full River" AGM batteries. We find we can get at least 5 days running the Waeco and Engel, which is quite good for medium term free camping. Lighting in the central area of the home are LED single/twin fittings. All the electricals and hot water controls are isolated via a switchbox, with safety switch. Climate control is by a Heron2.2 Aircommand reverse cycle air conditioner, essential for travelling in Tassie which was our last adventure. The stove and sink are built into a single unit, with pressure pump driving the water supply. Stove gas supplied by 2X 4.5kg bottles, and has 2 small and one large 12V ignited burners with thermocouple valves. A medium size microwave is also included. The 12V Digital TV is swing-arm mounted, and includes built-in DVD player, and USB as a media source. A great feature of this home is a large amount of cupboard space, both below bench, overhead, and under seat for less used stuff. Kitchen bench space is generous, with adequate 240v and 12v power outlets. Overhead hatches in the front and rear of the living area and bathroom provide fresh air when required The décor includes charcoal grey seats, charcoal bench and beige walls and cupboard fronts. About 2/3 of the house is given to wind-out louvre windows, with anodised aluminium frames. The motorhome is self-contained with a 100L water tank and 100L waste tank, with hoses included. Exterior features include, built in swing out step, separate hinged screened house door, with deadlock. Gas bottle storage compartment at rear left, and a large tunnel the entire width of the home at the rear, with volume approx. 30 cubic ft., and doors both left and right sides. Lighting includes an over-door light with external powerpoint. A windout Fiamma shade awning provides a nice place to sit with a beverage at the end of the day. The right hand side contains access to the toilet cassette, hot water service with newly replaced anode, battery storage compartment, and 240V power inlet. Mechanicals as follows. The Talvor is mounted on a Volkswagen Crafter cab-chassis, with 2.5L 5 cylinder TDI engine, and six speed “Shiftmatic” automatic gearbox. The gearbox allows the driver to select manual when manouvering at low speed, which is suited to the low gearing in the lower range, and for shifting back when slowing to take it easy on the brakes. Highway driving at 100kph on the flat does not bother this vehicle, with plenty of power left. . Large rear vision mirrors aid safe backing. Dual wheels at rear provide good traction. The cab includes two comfortable high set seats, and heaps of storage options for maps and other bits and pieces. Remote central locking provided to the cab. Passengers have 4 seat belted seats in the middle dinette. Radio/CD payer supplies the cab and the house with your favourite music. GVM of 4490kg qualifies a car licensed driver for this vehicle. Current mileage is 218211k, and the vehicle is mechanically sound, does not use a drop of oil, fuel consumption on last trip was about 8L/100km. Timing Belt replaced Sept 2105. New starter motor and vehicle battery July 2015. Ball joints and rear sway bar bushes replaced recently. Roadworthy current.
